Lab Alumni Accept Professorship Offers!
Leighton Reid C'06 recently accepted a tenure-track faculty position in restoration ecology at Virginia Tech University that he will start in August. Leighton is currently a research scientist at the Missouri Botanical Garden. Leighton is a co-author on a recently published paper with me about forest resilience on the Domain. Ashley Morris C'97 will be leaving her current position at Middle Tennessee State University this coming summer to start a new faculty position in plan

Paper about Forest Resilency on the Domain Accepted for Publication
Our paper, "Differential resistance to tree species loss between two dominant communities in a resilient southeastern landscape" has been accepted for publication in Natural Areas Journal. Lab alumni, Leighton Reid (C'06) and Callie Oldfield (C'15) were co-authors. The concept of resiliency is commonly used by both land managers and ecologists when referring to the ability of landscapes to retain biodiversity over time.
