Join Jon Evans at 7 PM Wednesday, November 8, for a talk that will trace the complex natural and cultural history of a 30-acre tract known as the “King Farm” on the Domain. This site was the location of one of the first homesteads in the Sewanee area in the early 1800’s and the talk will reveal a 200-year progression of different land uses that occurred at this improbable, remote place and how this unique land use history shaped the forest that we see there today. Event sponsored by the Sewanee Herbarium to promote undergraduate involvement in plant research and conservation. Meet in Spencer 172.
