Block Fellows, Rob and Oliver, join Todd Crabtree (State Botanist) and Dr. Evans on an assessment of the Domain populations of Clematis morefieldii. Todd conducts these surveys every 3 years. The populations were intact and flowering.
On this trek into the far reaches of the Domain, we also discovered a newly named species of Jack-In-The-Pulpit: Arisaema pusillum - was Arisaema triphyllum ssp. pusillum. Todd believes this new species will likely be recognized in the next TN Flora. Regardless its a new taxon for the Domain!
It has an elongated spathe and the undersides of the leaves are green rather than white. It was found in a wet seep on the western escarpment of the Domain.
